SHU-SHEN-PENG-MO (Schoolar Holding Ink). Grower's name Chen Dezhong, Peace Peony Nursery, Lanzhou, Gansu, P.R. China. From the seedling of P. rockii cv. Single flower, pure white, 8 inches in diameter over three feet in height, round peach shaped bud. The blotch 1.2x0.8", also obvious in the back of petals. Has stamens, pollen seeds and fragrant. Sheath enclosing one-third carpels, yellowish white, stigmas yellow, anthers much, filaments pale red. Plant upright, less branches, much suckers, ovate and yellowish green leaves. Good substance. Stem strength, hardy enough to resist wind and hold flowers above leaves. Bloom mid-May at Lanzhou. (Registered by Dr. Cheng Fangyun, Beijing Forestry University, Beijing, P.R. China, Oct. 3, 1994). SHU SHENG PENG MO, Bianco macchiate d'inchiostro». Varietà di P. rockii originata nel Gansu. Fiore bianco semplice - semidoppio, con la corona di petali centrali più piccoli e grande macchia porpora all'unghia che tende ad allargarsi con una raggiera di filamenti porpora chiaro. Una delle cultivar di P. rockii più belle. La fioritura, analogamente alle altre peonie originarie del Gansu, è tardiva.

SHU SHENG PENG MO "Ink - Spotted White Paper" One of the most beautiful cultivars of Paeoniaa rockii from Gansu. Flowers: white, with large dark blotches at the base of the petals that tend to radiate out in pale purple streaks; single to semi - double. corona of smaller central petals, late flowering (like other peonies from Gansu).
