Xi Ye Zi.Crown form-Flowers 16cm x 7cm, purple (72-D); the outer petals 2- whorled, broad and large, entire and regular, flat, suffused with purple at the base; the inner ones rugose, regular, a whorl of small petals grow between the outer and the inner petals; pistils small. Stalks stout, long; flowers upright. Flowering late midseason. Plant medium height, erect. Branches stout. Leaves orbicular, medium-sized, sparse; leaflets nearly orbicular, apex obtuse, the margins curved upwards, slightly suffused with purple, upper surface rough. Growth fairly vigorous, flowers many. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1967. |
