Peng Sheng Zi. Hundred proliferate form. Flowers 15 cm x 5cm, purplish red (53-B), lustrous. Petals multi-whorled, slightly large, stiff, suffused with dark purple at the base; stamens a few, pistils developed, petaloid, greenish coloured in the lower flower. Petals relatively few, wrinkled; stamens small; pistils small in the upper flower. Stalks stout, stiff; flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant medium height, erect Branches stout. Leaves long, medium-sized, stiff; leaflets long ovate, acuminate at the apex. Growth vigorous, but flowers relatively few. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1970. |
