Hong Mei Bao Chun. Crown form. Flowers 17cm x 8cm, light red (52-C), smooth; the outer petals 2-whorled, large, stiff, suffused with red at the base, apex lighter colour; the inner petals wrinkled, crowded, a few stamens grow among the petals; pistils small or slightly petaloid. Stalks fairly pliable, stout, flowers lateral. Flowering late midseason. Plant dwarf, partially spreading. Branches stout. Leaves orbicular, large- sized, soft, thick, fairly crowded; leaflets ovate, apex acute. Growth vigorous; flowers normal; tolerant of leaf spot. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1970. |
